The New Tungsten Bucking Bars
Tungsten
Steel bars weighs almost twice as much as conventional steel which makes it a
perfect material for manufacturing a small yet HEAVY Bucking Bar. As you know,
the heavier the bar, the easier it is to shoot your rivet. With conventional
steel bucking bars, installing rivets in open areas has never been a problem,
but when the rivet is in a confined space and the ability to use a heavy enough
bar to properly install the rivet without work hardening is not possible, you
can use our small yet heavy Tungsten Bucking Bars. Four (4) popular shapes
available.
Also available as a 4 piece set. |

Get a cool VAF Hat and Shirt and help us sponsor A Make-A-Wish
trip for a terminally ill child.
As you might already know from reading the Charity section, all profits from
this and future VansAirForce.net items will go
to charity. I spent some time visiting with the Avery's of Avery Tools on
Friday, especially Ken, and we have decided to donate the money made to the
local chapter of the Make A Wish Foundation for the time being. The new caps
cost $7 each to make (these 'charity' items now sport a logo on it to
differentiate it from the previously sold items). The idea is that if you see
the logo on the back, you know that all the profit on that item went to help
kids. We upped the price by $5 (which all goes to the charity). Shipping and
handling will be just at $2.50 if it's being delivered in the domestic USA.
Expect around $15 total charge - still a pretty good deal for a cap! The color
is 'putty' with an olive interior. After a few washings the cap gets more white.
There is an American flag on the back, and you can cut away one thread on its
right side to have it 'fly'. The button on the top has been removed so that it
won't interfere with your headset. The style is 'unstructured', so it doesn't
have a large front area. It rides pretty low over the forehead. The TShirts
are the same deal, all profit on the shirts will go to Make-A-Wish. Soon we will
be delivering a check large enough to sponsor one childs wish trip to somewhere
like Disneyworld.
from Ken Avery "I would personally like to thank everyone who has helped
us on this, and thank you to Doug for doing this. It is amazing the what this
community has done. |
