2009 CATALOG Information

Avery Tools has a new 2009 catalog available for download (here). There are a number of new items this year, and we have lowered our retail pricing on a number of popular items. We will have an abridged version of the catalog available at the air shows, and to mail out to customers who request one.

The full version 2009 catalog is available online in PDF format, and if you have problems downloading we can send the file via email so you can have it printed at your local printing store.

We are bringing back a couple of “Oldies but Goodies” tools that were discontinued some years back.

First is the RV-3 & RV-4 Canopy Side Skin Flanging Tool

This tool works on the same principle as the edge rolling tool, but this tool easily forms a uniform ¾” wide flange along the top of the canopy side skins on the -3 & -4. After the skins are trimmed you need to hand form the skin flange to match the contour of the canopy around the canopy. This flange angle varies from about 90 degrees at the front of the canopy to flat at the rear of the canopy. This tool has a machined aluminum handle with four equally spaced delrin (plastic) rollers and a built in ¾” stop.

Second are the Jig Fixture Brackets & Hinge Bushing Kit

This kit is for use on the RV-3, RV-4, & RV-6 kits (before pre-punched kits) to build the horizontal & vertical stabilizers in a jig. Before pre-punched kits all the parts had to be built in a jig and the holes drilled while everything was held in alignment. These brackets are mounted to a wooden jig and hold everything in alignment. Six angle brackets are precision machined for perfect alignment of the hinge points. The hinge bushings are machined bushings with a small hole thru the center of each bushing. These are used to pull a small string or wire thru the bracket holes to align all the brackets on the jig.

Introducing a new product! We now offer an aircraft scale system.

These are Mittler Bros. race scales.

The scales are 12” X 12” aluminum pads with 1000 pounds per pad capacity (have 3 scales).

Electronic display displays weight for all wheels at the same time, reads to 1 lb. / 1/10% accuracy.

Has 18 ft. heavy duty flexible cables going to all (3) scales.

Rental price is $100.00 per use / per builder.

We plan to start out renting these locally (you will need to pick up & return them). If there is enough interest outside of this local area, I will build a shipping box and come up with a shipping cost to ship to builders outside the local area / and possibly add another scale set if there is sufficient demand.
